Governor Jerry Brown signed into law as part of the state’s budget a provision adding six staff members to the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) aftermarket parts division. The division is responsible for approving executive orders for aftermarket auto parts that impact emissions, which is of importance to businesses wishing to sell emissions-related parts nationwide. In addition to the six new positions, the provision allocates approximately $960,000 annually.
