A bill to allow for high-mobility multipurpose vehicles to be titled passed the House but died in the Senate Appropriations Committee. Frequently called “Humvees,” the four-wheel-drive tactical military vehicles can carry a wide variety of military hardware as originally constructed. The vehicles are ineligible for titling as a highway vehicle under current Oklahoma law.
