SEMA-supported legislation has been signed into law to permanently reauthorize California’s Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) program.

SEMA-supported legislation has been signed into law to permanently reauthorize California’s Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) program, which was established in 1971. It provides funds to local, state and federal agencies, educational institutions and nonprofit entities for OHV management and facility maintenance on both federal and state lands. OHV user taxes and fees directly fund the self-sustaining OHMVR program without the assistance of general fund taxes.
