Whether it’s standing up for the Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports (RPM) Act and your right to convert a street car into a racecar used exclusively at the track, pursuing a pro-growth and job-creation agenda, or combating counterfeit products, there are many issues facing SEMA members in the nation’s capital.

Join fellow SEMA members in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, May 17, for the 2017 SEMA Washington Rally. The Rally is your opportunity to demonstrate to congressional lawmakers the importance and strength of the $39-billion specialty-equipment industry. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to connect face-to-face with your legislators on Capitol Hill and inform them of the issues that matter most to you, your community and your business. The SEMA Washington Rally is exclusively for SEMA members.

Many believe that they can’t have an impact on the political process. This couldn’t be further from the truth. At last year’s Rally, SEMA members were able to personally secure more than 20 co-sponsors for the RPM Act from their Congressional representatives. With the RPM Act having recently been reintroduced in Congress, there’s still much work to be done. That’s what makes the Washington Rally so important.

Scheduled events include:

  • Legislative briefing session with SEMA staff.
  • One-on-one meetings with legislators.
  • Capitol Hill luncheon.
  • Private reception with members of Congress.
  • Opportunities to visit attractions in the nation’s capital.
