The House Environment and Transportation Committee amended and approved SEMA-opposed legislation to increase the age requirement for vehicles eligible for registration as “historic motor vehicles” in Maryland.

Legislation, opposed by SEMA, to increase the age requirement for vehicles eligible for registration as “historic motor vehicles” in Maryland was amended and approved by the House Environment and Transportation Committee. Under the amended bill, the age requirement would be raised from 20 to at least 30 years old. Previously, the bill called for the age threshold to be raised to 25 years old and older. The bill will next be considered in a vote by the full House of Delegates.
