Show organizers are already reporting that the 2014 SEMA Show will be bigger than the prior year, and the biggest in the history of the Show.
SEMA Show organizers are working on three fronts to make the 2014 Show the best in the history of the event.
As the SEMA Show booth selection process nears, Show organizers are prioritizing development of more exhibit space, making sure the event is affordable with high ROI, and reinforcing processes that assure highly qualified participants.
The 2014 SEMA Show takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Tuesday–Friday, November 4–7 in Las Vegas. The Show is the largest annual gathering of small businesses in America.
Based on early booth space reservations demonstrating unprecedented optimism from the industry, Show organizers anticipate that the 2014 SEMA Show will include more exhibitors and cover more square footage than the prior year. With low-cost and value-added programs specifically designed for small businesses, the number of exhibitors jumping in to take advantage of the opportunity to display continues to increase.
“It’s our job to find ways to accommodate growth,” said Chris Kersting, president and CEO of SEMA. “We are very aware of our obligation to make this event accessible for as many qualified industry stakeholders as possible. That includes both new exhibitors and those with seniority—the small businesses that have been the backbone of the SEMA Show for 50 years.”
Show organizers have held the price of an entry-level, 10x10 booth steady for the past 10 years. Special drayage discount packages, free New Products Showcase entries, transportation discounts and extensive hotel discounts are among ways Show organizers are working to make entry-level participation affordable. The goal is to enable every company, no matter how small, to take advantage of the media attention, growing buyer audience, networking benefits and educational opportunities available to exhibitors.
The SEMA Show is strictly a trade-only event. Show organizers have processes in place to assure that only qualified participants attend. “More than ever, we plan to concentrate on quality exhibitors and buyers who are a good fit for the Show, and will be successful at the Show,” said Kersting. “Even with those filtering processes in place, we expect this year will be historic by all measures of participation.”
