SEMA is supporting legislation in the Maryland House of Delegates to require the issuance of only a single license plate for historic vehicles and street rods. The bill will be considered by the House Environmental Matters Committee. Under Maryland law, a historic vehicle includes a passenger vehicle, motorcycle or truck that is at least 20 years old and has not been substantially altered from the manufacturer's original design. A street rod is a motor vehicle that is 25 years old or older and has been substantially altered from the manufacturer's original design.
