SEMA Creates Webpage With Resources for Understanding New Health Care Law

SEMA has created a webpage with information to help SEMA members understand the Affordable Care Act, also known as “Obamacare.” The new health care law is being phased in over a number of years, and January 2014 is the deadline for larger companies to offer coverage or pay a penalty.

The webpage is intended to provide both a general overview of the law and a comprehensive resource on specific issues. The page will periodically be updated to provide additional material. It is not too soon for all companies to understand the law and plan accordingly. SEMA-member companies are encouraged to review their current situation, speak with health insurance professionals and determine how to proceed.
