Resources to Promote Your Business at the SEMA Show

Pre-show publications, including the SEMA Show Daily, provide the ideal opportunity for exhibitors to submit press releases about new products, project vehicles and special events and activities.

Getting the spotlight focused on your company at the SEMA Show comes down to three words—promotion, promotion, promotion.

Promotion is sometimes overlooked in pre-Show planning because the emphasis is on developing new products, building project vehicles and finishing booth displays. However, once the doors to the SEMA Show open, companies that invest in promotion typically experience increases in traffic, which translate into more leads and more connections with key decision makers. By using promotional tools—many of which are free—businesses can stand out from their competitors and achieve a higher profile at the Show.

One way to generate buzz for your new products and services is by submitting press releases to SEMA's pre-Show publications. The association produces a weekly SEMA eNews newsletter, a monthly SEMA News magazine and the SEMA Show Daily, which includes three issues produced on-site in Las Vegas. Generating excitement and exposure for new-product launches, project-vehicle premieres and special events held in conjunction with the 2011 SEMA Show can have a massive impact on your overall SEMA Show success.

In addition to sending press releases to the appropriate publications, paid advertising and sponsorship packages can further elevate your company's profile at the Show, generating both traffic to your booth and getting buyers focused on your products. There are packages and programs designed to fit every budget, including advertising in the Show Directory and Pocket Guide. For complete details, including special discounts, contact Joe Sebergandio at Motor Media, 818/248-4449 or e-mail Joe at sales@motormediainc.com.

For companies interested in taking advantage of editorial opportunities in pre-Show publications, here's a breakdown of key contacts associated with the different pre-Show Publications, as well as a list of editorial topics typically covered in each of the publications.

-There are four issues of the annual SEMA Show Daily and the first installment will hit mailboxes several weeks prior to the Show. This is an ideal opportunity to feature news releases about new products, project vehicles and special events and activities. To be considered for this first issue of the Show Daily, your submission must be received by August 12, 2011. If you can't meet the early deadline, there are still three more issues and material for those can be accepted up until October 7, 2011. Please e-mail material directly to Carr, including high-resolution images in tiff, eps or jpeg format.

Submission Policy: All submissions will be featured in pre-Show publications based on the order in which they were received on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event that the publications department receives more submissions than it can accommodate, the unpublished items will be placed on a waiting list and then included when and if additional space becomes available.
