For more than 40 years, the SEMA Show has provided a forum for specialty-equipment innovation. From iconic brands to first-time exhibitors, the industry chooses the SEMA Show to highlight its latest products and technology. And no place is better to witness this industry movement than in the New Products Showcase.
The New Products Showcase at the SEMA Show displays the best from both established names and newcomers. Of the 540 exhibitors with new products in last year’s Showcase, 121 were first-time SEMA Show exhibitors. And of those first-timers, nine companies went home with a coveted new product award.
Retailers, installers and warehouse distributors showed the most interest in the 164 products entered by first-timers, electronically scanning their products for more information nearly 3,500 times—about 15 percent of the total new product scans at the 2008 Show.
“Being at the SEMA Show allows us the opportunity to be in front of the world, as far as the automotive aftermarket is concerned,” says Todd Arey, president and CEO of E3 Spark Plugs, a first-time exhibitor at the 2009 Show. “Exhibiting at the SEMA Show this year is the next logical step in the growth and evolution of our company.”
