Nominations for the 2009 SEMA Person of the Year, one of the highest and most prestigious honors bestowed by the specialty-equipment industry, are now open. SEMA's Person of the Year Award was established to honor a person for his or her outstanding contributions to the specialty-equipment industry for the past year (July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009).

A candidate must meet all of the following requirements to be considered for the SEMA Person of the Year award:

  • An individual can win the award more than one time provided that person qualified for a second nomination. Three to five years should elapse before an individual is nominated for a second time.
