The 2021 SEMA Show will include more than 100 industry-leading seminars designed to help businesses and employees succeed and advance their careers. Through the SEMA Education program, YEN members have an easy and cost-effective way to learn about new trends and topics, hear from top experts and presenters, and gain new skills and ideas.

New to this year, the program will include a leadership track sponsored by the world-renowned Dale Carnegie program. The Dale Carnegie track includes many sessions that may be of particular interest to young professionals seeking to pursue management or C-suite positions. Lead Change Effectively, Presented by Dale Carnegie
When: Monday, November 1 at 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Leading a changing organization is a demanding, time-consuming responsibility. In this workshop, participants will examine the challenges of change leadership and the mistakes that often result. The seminar will incorporate principles for leading organizational change, leading individuals during times of change and managing reactions to change.

When: Tuesday, November 2 at 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Holding others accountable to their goals provides opportunities for growth, learning and ongoing motivation. This workshop provides effective coaching techniques and other tools to help close the gap between expected performance and actual results. After completing this session, participants will coach for improved performance by following a step-by-step process and using the appraisal meeting to focus on future growth and training for others.

Leading Across Generations, Presented by Dale Carnegie

Leading a team of diverse generations can be an incredibly rich and productive experience when you have the skills in place to capitalize on the strengths of each generation. Managers Matter: A Relationship Centered Approach to Driving Employee Engagement, Presented by Dale Carnegie
When: Thursday, November 4 at 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

An employee’s immediate supervisor, regardless of level, is often the single most important —– and often underutilized— – resource for boosting engagement. In this interactive workshop, participants will learn the critical behaviors managers must demonstrate on a daily basis to drive engagement with their teams.
