By Ryan Rutledge

As the automotive aftermarket continues to evolve, the demand for technical knowledge and practical expertise is greater than ever. To meet that need, the Wheel, Tire, Suspension & Brake Council (WTSBC) is partnering with the Emerging Trends & Technology Network (ETTN) to present an in-depth education session at the 2025 SEMA Show. Join us for “Wheels Up at 11: Vehicle Applications, Powered by WTSBC” on Thursday, November 6, from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m in North Hall N239.

This session will provide attendees with essential insights into properly modifying vehicles with wheels, tires, suspension and brakes—critical components that directly affect both safety and performance. Topics will include how to determine tire load at specific air pressures, understanding tire-to-rim width calculations and the impact of suspension modifications on towing. Attendees will also learn how brake upgrades are performed and how these changes influence overall vehicle performance.

What sets this seminar apart is its focus on the technology driving these modifications, particularly in suspension systems. With vehicles becoming increasingly complex, understanding the relationship between technology, safety and performance is key for builders, engineers and aftermarket professionals alike.

Moderated by Gary Ruede, Discount Tire, the discussion will feature an expert panel including Ryan Rutledge, Air Lift Co.; Nicholas Cross, Smithers; and Luis Morales, SEMA Garage—each bringing unique technical expertise and real-world experience to the table. Together, they will unpack the science behind proper modifications and share practical strategies that attendees can take back to their shops, businesses or product development teams.

As an added bonus, lunch will be provided for the first 80 attendees, making this an even more valuable opportunity to learn, connect and recharge during the busy show.

This is more than just a seminar—it’s an opportunity to deepen your technical knowledge, keep pace with industry innovation and walk away with insights that directly support your success in the marketplace. Don’t miss this chance to elevate your expertise at Wheels Up at 11.
