The SEMA Wheel, Tire, Suspension & Brake Council (WTSBC) continues to grow because of the dedicated professionals who volunteer their time, ideas and expertise to strengthen the aftermarket undercar industry. From communications and education to networking and membership outreach, WTSBC committees play an important role in supporting industry growth, advocacy and member connections.
Volunteering on a committee is also one of the easiest and most valuable ways for professionals to become more engaged in the industry. Committee participation requires only about one to two hours per month, with most meetings held on a consistent monthly schedule for either 30 or 45 minutes. It’s a manageable commitment that delivers long-term professional benefits.
Grow with the Industry You’re Passionate About
For individuals, volunteering creates opportunities to build leadership skills, expand professional networks, gain visibility within the industry and collaborate with peers facing similar challenges and opportunities. Committee members also gain direct insight into industry trends, emerging needs and valuable resources that can benefit both their careers and companies.
For member companies, encouraging staff participation demonstrates a commitment to industry involvement and professional development. Employees who volunteer often return with stronger connections, fresh ideas and a broader understanding of the market. Committee involvement can also help companies increase brand visibility, strengthen relationships within the aftermarket community and contribute to initiatives that directly support the future of the industry.
WTSBC is currently seeking at-large volunteers for the following committees:
- Communications: Help communicate WTSBC resources, news and events to members
- Membership: Engage with current and new members
- Networking: Create and support networking events for members
- Education: Create educational content and resources for members
- SEMA Show: Create and support networking events for those in the wheel, tire, suspension and brake industry at the SEMA Show
