The SEMA Truck & Off-Road Alliance (TORA) raised more than $10,500 for SEMA Cares during the 2025 SEMA Show. The total included $5,000 donated by TORA Feature Vehicle participants and more than $5,500 raised during the Pinewood Drags at the TORA Reception.

Thanks to the generosity and engagement of the truck and off-road community, the proceeds will support SEMA Cares’ partnering children’s organizations: Childhelp, Victory Junction, and the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.

An annual tradition, the Pinewood Drags bridges automotive passion with friendly competition by inviting members to purchase miniature wooden cars and trucks and race them in thrilling downhill action.

“We are extremely grateful for the industry’s generosity in helping make a meaningful difference in young lives,” said SEMA Manager of Recognition Programs Joe Escobar. “By pairing the joy of automotive culture with hands-on fundraising, SEMA Cares is able support children in need even during challenging circumstances.”

SEMA Cares volunteers work year-round behind the scenes to organize and support sponsored events like the Pinewood Drags, with the goal of raising both funds and awareness to improve the lives of children in need. Through the continued support of the aftermarket community, these initiatives can turn industry passion into lasting, positive impact.
