For the first time in history, four generations are working side-by-side in today’s workforce, bringing a mix of perspectives, expectations and communication styles that can either challenge teams or elevate them. The SEMA Businesswomen’s Network (SBN) is tackling this dynamic head-on with its upcoming virtual education session, “Creating Positive Outcomes with Generational Differences,” taking place Tuesday, June 9 at 12:00 p.m. PT/3:00 p.m. ET.

Designed for professionals across the automotive aftermarket, both men and women, this interactive session will explore how generational diversity can become a powerful advantage when approached with intention. Through a moderated panel discussion followed by a live Q&A, attendees will gain practical strategies to better understand, communicate and collaborate across generational lines.

Moderated by Annette Bauer, the session brings together a diverse panel of industry professionals and generations, including Tariq Ghani, Eliza Leon, Riley Schlick and Marcus Umlauff. Representing a range of backgrounds, from technical and racing to business and leadership, these speakers will offer real-world insights into navigating generational differences in today’s evolving workplace.

Participants can expect to walk away with a deeper understanding of generational values and behaviors, along with actionable tools to bridge gaps between employees and leadership. Key topics will include setting fair expectations across experience levels, balancing organizational needs with employee and customer expectations and understanding how technology, social media and AI are shaping workplace behavior.

This session is especially relevant as companies continue to adapt to shifting workforce dynamics. Leaders who can effectively connect across generations are better positioned to build inclusive, high-performing teams that drive innovation and long-term success.

Whether you’re managing a team, collaborating across departments or just starting your career, this session offers valuable perspective and practical takeaways. Join the conversation and discover how embracing generational differences can lead to stronger outcomes for your team and your organization.
