Every year, the SEMA Businesswomen's Network (SBN) Awards Program celebrates the exceptional individuals whose leadership, dedication and service strengthen our industry and our community. Nominations are open now through Friday, September 4, at sema.org/cn-awards.
#SheIsSEMA Woman of the Year
The #SheisSEMA Woman of the Year Award honors a woman whose leadership, knowledge, expertise and management abilities have made a positive impact on the automotive aftermarket. Recipients are recognized not only for their professional accomplishments, but also for serving as mentors, role models and active contributors to the industry. Their influence extends beyond their own organizations, inspiring others and helping shape the future of the aftermarket.
Recent recipients include Kirstin Backes of Cobb Tuning (2025), Rebeca Olavarrieta of Roco 4x4 (2024), Melissa Parker-Boudreaux of Oracle Lighting (2023) and Lana Chrisman of Lions Automobilia (2022). Their achievements represent the excellence and leadership found throughout our industry.
SBN Member Impact Award
SBN also recognizes the incredible volunteers who help make the network successful through the SBN Member Impact Award. This award honors a current SBN member who has demonstrated outstanding commitment, leadership and consistent support while serving on one of SBN's committees throughout the July 2025 to June 2026 volunteer year. These individuals go above and beyond by driving initiatives forward, collaborating with fellow volunteers, advocating for SBN membership and resources, participating in SBN events and making meaningful contributions that help the network grow and thrive. Current SBN Select Committee members are not eligible for this award. The inaugural award was given to Hayleigh Keelin, Oracle Lighting, in 2025.
Why You Should Nominate
Both awards celebrate different but equally important forms of leadership: those making an impact across the industry and those making an impact within SBN itself.
Take a moment to reflect on the people who have inspired you this past year. Is there a leader who has mentored others, championed innovation or elevated the industry? Is there a fellow volunteer whose dedication has strengthened SBN through committee service and member engagement?
Help us recognize these outstanding individuals by submitting a nomination. Together, we can celebrate the leaders and volunteers whose passion, commitment and service continue to move both SBN and the specialty-equipment industry forward.
