Women talking with each other during the 2025 Gear Up Girl event

The SEMA Businesswomen’s Network (SBN) will once again host Gear Up Girl at the 2026 SEMA Show, bringing together students, individuals new to the automotive aftermarket and experienced industry professionals for an engaging introduction to the many career opportunities available across the industry.

This year, Gear Up Girl moves to Thursday, November 5, from 11:45 a.m.–1:00 p.m., with a refreshed format focused on networking, career exploration and meaningful conversations. Attendees will hear an introduction to SBN, learn about the network’s resources and recognize the Jessi Combs Rising Star Award before participating in a brief discussion on the art of networking.

The highlight of the event will be interactive career pathway discussions, where attendees can connect directly with women working in a variety of aftermarket roles. From engineering, design and marketing to sales, business operations, motorsports, fabrication and entrepreneurship, these conversations will showcase the diverse opportunities available beyond traditional industry career paths. Participants who are still deciding what they want to pursue can also explore different fields and gain advice on identifying a career direction that fits their interests and strengths.

For experienced professionals, Gear Up Girl is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by sharing your experiences, lessons learned and career advice with the next generation of aftermarket talent. A conversation about navigating a career change, overcoming a challenge or finding your place in the industry could help someone envision a future they hadn't previously considered.

By bringing established professionals and emerging talent together, Gear Up Girl helps strengthen the industry's talent pipeline while building connections that can last well beyond the SEMA Show.

Whether you're looking for career guidance or ready to share your own journey, Gear Up Girl offers an opportunity to connect, learn and help shape the future of the automotive aftermarket.
