John Lambert MPMC Select Committee Chair

Hello MPMC members,

I'd like to take this opportunity near the mid-way point of 2024 to give you an update on the MPMC. Our Select Committee members have been very busy, so there is plenty of exciting news to share.

First, and foremost, the Select Committee is putting forth great efforts to make the 2025 Media Trade Conference an undeniable success. The move to Orlando gives us all great opportunities to have new companies and media involved. Verbal confirmation of continued participation has been shared by several on both media and manufacturer fronts. Our Select Committee has already visited the hosting hotel during our Long-Range Planning meetings to ensure that the facility offers space for primary and after-hours networking that this event has become known for. The expectations were shared, and contracts were signed. Expect even more exciting news as we get closer. I assure you that this Select Committee is working hard to make this an MTC to remember!

As many of you know, MPMC also has a big event each year on Friday evening at the PRI Show. Our PRI Member Appreciation & Awards Reception is a time for us to get together to thank our members and honor those who have contributed so much to our industry. If you've never attended, please put this on your calendars! If you have attended, we'll see you there again. The reception is scheduled for December 13 at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Speaking of membership, I'm proud to report that we have gained 14 new members to the MPMC. I'm also excited to share that we are also adding three new members to our Select Committee. Brian Lebarron joins us from Fluidampr, Karen Orlandi joins us from ProCharger, and Michael Sanders joins us from Edelbrock. The foreseeable workload inspired the Select Committee to add an additional seat to ensure we have the volunteer time available to provide the best events and membership benefits our MPMC members have come to expect. I would also like to thank Mike Deatsch from DeatschWerks and Scott McLaughlin from Holley for their years of experience and volunteer time on the MPMC Select Committee as well. Mike and Scott are stepping down from the Select Committee at the end of June.

As I sign off, I'd like to thank our members for being a part of the MPMC and continuing to support our push to keep racing at the forefront of SEMA and PRI conversations. Our strength in numbers keeps us relevant and protects the future of our segment in the industry. If your company would like to be more involved in the Council and decision making, we welcome your help.

To keep up with the latest news from MPMC, please follow us on Facebook the next time you check Marketplace for a new project car. To get involved in the Council, you can find us at www.sema.org/mpmc. Company membership is only $100 per year, and we welcome members who would also like to be part of the behind-the-scenes work that makes MPMC such a great Council. Thank you very much for your time,
John Lambert
