When travel plans and industry events were cancelled across the country in mid-March, HRIA volunteers were quick to adapt and conducted their long-rage planning meeting via video conferencing, where they explored new ideas to connect members and provided updates on this year’s initiatives.

Details on upcoming events will be released throughout the year but here are the highlights of what to look forward to:

Education Days Program: The popular Education Days program returns to the NSRA Nationals in Louisville this August, and all but a few of the 12 presenting manufacturers have already been secured. A general membership meeting will once again be held Wednesday of that week, and the HRIA is planning to partner with Motor Trend Network for the annual trade bowling party at the event.

Grand National Roadster Show: This event is scheduled for January 2021 with a different format aimed primarily at a student audience.

HRIA Industry Mixers: In lieu of other “traditional” meetings, HRIA will host an industry mixer at an additional show later in the summer. Individual select committee members will also host “meet ups” at shows or events in the second half of the season. These mixers and meetups provide a casual atmosphere where industry folks can share ideas and provide feedback to the select committee.

Social Media: Keep an eye out for expanded content on the HRIA social media channels, including company and member spotlights, past and present HRIA feature vehicle spotlights, and more.

Other resource projects are also in the works in the form of a member company listing by product and service, and a hard copy presentation of the history of HRIA.
