The 2025 SEMA Future Leaders Network (FLN) Professional Development Program at the SEMA Garage Detroit in May delivered three days of immersive learning, dynamic breakout sessions and meaningful conversations designed to elevate the skills and performance of the industry’s young professionals.
“This team leadership course exceeded my expectations,” said Robert Fisher of POWER Automotive Media. “It challenged my current way of thinking, helped me recognize areas for improvement that I didn’t know existed and equipped me with the skills to take action for myself and for my team.”
Presented in partnership with the Dale Carnegie organization, the program provided participants with strategies to build effective teams, lead through change, use innovative processes to improve results and create a people-first workplace culture.
“I cannot say enough great things about the training and the experience,” said Tariq Ghani of Timbren Industries. “I was challenged enough to identify my weaknesses and found ways to turn them into strengths by engaging with my like-minded peers in our class, both one-on-one as well as in groups.”
In addition to the curriculum, participants valued the opportunity to network with fellow professionals who share similar goals, challenges and passions. The informal discussions and peer-to-peer learning throughout the week were just as impactful as the structured sessions.
“FLN’s professional development program with Dale Carnegie has helped me grow and change behaviors not only in my professional career, but in my personal life as well,” said Aly Oakley of BrakeQuip. “The skills I have learned are invaluable and I cannot recommend the course highly enough.”
FLN thanks all our members who participated in the 2025 training. The Professional Development Program will return in 2026.
