Being part of the SEMA Future Leaders Network (FLN) gives you the opportunity to connect with other emerging leaders, exchange ideas and build relationships that can support your growth throughout your career.
But FLN membership doesn’t last forever. When members turn 40, it’s time to transition out of the network. Rather than waiting until then to think about what comes next, we encourage you to start building connections now that can continue to support your career beyond your time in FLN.
Here’s what we recommend:
- Attend education seminars at the SEMA Show that aren’t just focused on your current role, but where you want to be.
- Attend council and network events outside FLN to expand your industry network.
- Learn about a company or segment of the industry you may not know well.
- Download the SEMA market research reports ahead of the Show to understand current industry challenges and opportunities.
FLN is committed to helping you grow while you’re part of the network, but we also want to prepare you for what comes next. While you’re at the SEMA Show, make it a point to network beyond your circle, explore what other councils and networks offer, learn from people with different experiences and find the areas where you can contribute.
Your FLN membership may have an expiration date, but the relationships you build don’t have to.
