SEMA’s Council and Network Awards nominations are COMING SOON! This is an opportunity for your company or an outstanding person at your company to be recognized at the SEMA Show for their amazing accomplishments this past year. If you’re a member of ETTN we want to hear from you! Nominations open June 9th so keep an eye out for the announcement.

The winners will be announced and honored at the SEMA Council and Network receptions taking place Tuesday and Wednesday evening at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

ETTN “Genius” Award

 The SEMA ETTN Genius Award is given to honor and recognize those outstanding individuals whose creative, genius innovation has made significant contributions toward advancing technology that positively impacts the growth and progress of the automotive industry. This award is not necessarily presented each year, but is bestowed as viable candidates are nominated and selected.

Criteria

  • Candidate’s contributions meet with the purpose stated above and has made a significant impact that has improved the industry as a whole.
  • The candidate is, or has been, involved in the automotive industry for a minimum of 5 years.
  • The candidate has acted in the industry with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
  • Membership in and a contribution to SEMA should be primary considerations for nomination and selection as an award recipient. However, at its discretion, the Awards Sub-committee may select an individual who is not a current SEMA and/or ETTN member.
  • If the nominee is an individual who has previously received this award within the past three years, he/she is ineligible for consideration.
  • Seated ETTN select committee members are not eligible for the ETTN Genius Award. Please check ETTN select committee roster prior to submitting nomination.

 

ETTN Techie Award

 The ETTN Techie Award recognizes an individual for their engineering achievements of a product, process, or component that demonstrates innovative and original engineering development, and/or advances state-of-the-art technology as it pertains to the automotive industry or product sector. This award is not necessarily presented each year, but is bestowed as viable candidates are nominated and selected.

Criteria

  • The Achievement (product/process/component/advancement) must be new, original and innovative to the automotive industry at the time it was accomplished.
  • The achievement may be a recent or historical engineering innovation.
  • The candidate must be a SEMA member in good standing.
  • Membership in the ETTN should be the primary considerations for nomination and selection as an award recipient but at its discretion, the Awards Sub-committee may select an individual who is not a current ETTN member.
  • If the nominee is an individual who has previously received this award within the past three years, he/she is ineligible for consideration.
  • Seated ETTN select committee members are not eligible for The Techie Award. Please check ETTN select committee roster prior to submitting nomination.

 

ETTN Ambassador Award

 The ETTN Ambassador Award is presented to an ETTN member who has demonstrated exceptional volunteer contributions or increased membership and awareness of the ETTN during the past year. This award is not necessarily presented each year, but is awarded at the discretion of the ETTN Chairman.

Criteria

  • Must be a member of SEMA and the ETTN.
  • Must have demonstrated exceptional service, integrity and business ethics throughout the past year.
