Innovation in the automotive aftermarket doesn’t happen by accident; it’s driven by the engineers, programmers and product developers who continuously push boundaries and solve complex challenges. As technology rapidly evolves across areas like electrification, software integration and advanced vehicle systems, engineering has become more vital than ever to the success and future of the industry.
That’s why it’s so important to recognize and celebrate the individuals behind that progress. The Emerging Trends & Technology Network (ETTN) Engineer of the Year Award was created to shine the spotlight on those who are not only doing the work but redefining what’s possible. These are the professionals developing new products, identifying emerging trends and creating innovative solutions that move the entire aftermarket forward.
Engineering is the backbone of this industry. From concept to commercialization, engineers play a critical role in ensuring products are safe, effective and competitive in a constantly changing landscape. Without their expertise, the advancements that keep the aftermarket thriving simply wouldn’t exist. Recognizing their contributions isn’t just about celebration; it’s about reinforcing the value of technical excellence and inspiring continued innovation.
The ETTN Engineer of the Year Award honors individuals who are actively solving problems and delivering meaningful breakthroughs. A key part of the nomination is clearly defining the “what” of makes their work innovative, impactful and relevant to today’s industry challenges.
Nominations open in July, and ETTN encourages members to start thinking of engineers and technical leaders who are shaping the future, because when we recognize innovation, we strengthen the entire industry.
