The SEMA Emerging Trends and Technology Network (ETTN) is dedicated to identifying and sharing the latest vehicle trends and technology shaping the automotive aftermarket. In September, ETTN hosted an outstanding Career Fair at the SEMA Garage in Plymouth, Michigan, designed to engage students in tracking emerging technologies and providing fresh insights to the industry.
The program proved to be a tremendous success. More than 125 students representing 25 schools participated, alongside 14 member companies who supported the effort. The students helped spotlight innovative products, highlight future-facing technologies and bring unique perspectives on how the aftermarket can prepare for what’s next.
By connecting students directly with aftermarket professionals, the initiative gave participants invaluable hands-on experience while giving companies access to the energy, creativity and forward-looking ideas of the next generation.
“The Career Fair brought a fresh energy and perspective to the event,” said Nick Wolgamott of PMAS Technologies – a participating company. “Their insights on what’s driving the next wave of technology were invaluable to our team, and it was inspiring to see their excitement for the industry’s future.”
ETTN Select Committee member Justin Starkey also shared the event’s impact: “This initiative demonstrates how powerful collaboration can be when we bring students and professionals together. It not only helps identify what’s next for our industry but also gives future leaders a chance to shine.”
The Career Fair initiative reflects ETTN’s mission to provide resources and solutions that ensure aftermarket professionals — and the industry as a whole — remain ahead of the curve. Based on the program’s success, ETTN looks forward to expanding opportunities for student involvement in future initiatives.
