As we move into the heart of the year, the Emerging Trends & Technology Network (ETTN) continues to build meaningful momentum across our key initiatives. These initiatives are driven by a shared commitment to better serve our members and strengthen the future of the automotive aftermarket.
One of the most exciting highlights this spring was the tremendous success of our March Career Fair at the SEMA Garage in Diamond Bar, California. With more than 500 students from 36 schools and nearly 600 total attendees, the event demonstrated growing interest in the aftermarket among the next generation. It also reinforced the critical role ETTN plays in connecting students with real career pathways in engineering, programming, product development and beyond.
Looking ahead, we’re preparing for our next Career Fair on September 26 from 1–4 p.m. at the SEMA Garage in Plymouth, Michigan. We anticipate welcoming over 125 students from 25 schools, along with approximately 20 aftermarket companies. This event is a key opportunity to continue building those connections while showcasing diversity and innovation within our industry.
We’ve also seen strong growth in our digital presence. Thanks to the dedication of our select committee, especially Charles Woodruff, our social media engagement has significantly increased. ETTN has shared technical insights from industry leaders like Ford Motor Company and RTR Vehicles, along with leadership perspectives and other valuable content that keeps our community informed and engaged.
Education remains a cornerstone of our mission. We’ve officially launched this year’s programming with sessions like “Regulatory Navigation for the Aftermarket” and “Using AI to Turn Engineering Data into Clear Decisions.” Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue this momentum with upcoming sessions, including “The ABCs of EV Safety” and “Alternative Fuels.”
As always, our focus remains on delivering meaningful, high-impact opportunities for our members. Whether through events, education or content, ETTN is committed to building a more connected, informed and engaged community.
Together, we aren’t just keeping pace with change – we’re helping lead it.
