SEMA Expo Allows U.S. Companies to Connect with Middle East Buyers

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (March 28, 2018) – Leading U.S. manufacturers will showcase their products to buyers in the lucrative Middle East market during the seventh annual SEMA Middle East Business Development Expo, April 5-7 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The 2018 SEMA delegation will include 70 executives from 32 companies throughout the U.S., including returning manufacturers Edelbrock, Borla Performance, COMP Performance, and Injen Technology and a dozen other companies that are attending the three-day UAE event with SEMA for the first time.

Whether the motivating factor is to hedge against future downturns in the U.S. economy or to sell to the 95% of consumers residing outside the United States or a combination of the two, SEMA members are increasingly reaching out to overseas resellers. Todd Lindblade, regional sales manager for Extang, based in Michigan, explained one of the reasons why his company and 41 other SEMA members recently spent a week in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) meeting with buyers from throughout the region.
