’21 Volkswagen Golf GTi

Volkswagen’s all-new Golf GTi has been spotted testing in the Arctic Circle. Estimated to be shown in the middle of 2020, the GTi promises performance upgrades and a weight reduction.

The design adopts the familiar cues of previous GTis to distinguish it from the mainstream version, such as different front and rear bumpers with larger air intakes, chunkier wheels and tires covering larger brakes, the familiar split dual-exit exhaust, and a rear spoiler.

In a reversal of original plans, Wolfsburg has decided not to make a more radical switch to hybrid power and instead will rely on an updated version of the Audi-developed EA888 2.0L turbocharged gas engine used in the existing Mk7 Golf GTi.

Holden Colorado Refresh

The last time the Holden Colorado was updated was in 2017, but these new spy shots show an upcoming update to GM’s bread-and-butter pickup for Australia and New Zealand.

This right-hand-drive prototype shows that the updates will be rather minor, delivering a reworked front fascia with new upper and lower grilles, foglight housings and a front bumper cover. The headlights appear to be the same as on the current model. The changes appear to be limited to the front end, as the rear doesn’t have any noteworthy updates.

Expect a ’21 model-year release of this updated Chevy Colorado.

’21 GMC Yukon

This is the upcoming, all-new GMC Yukon in SLT and Denali trims undergoing testing and providing a first look at the SLT version.

Up front is a grille that is different from the one seen on the Denali, while the rear does not show any visible exhaust, unlike the Denali. The rest of the model looks relatively identical to the Yukon Denali, which features a bright grille and a visible quad-tip exhaust out back.

The new GMC Yukon will be revealed this year, following the recently unveiled Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban.
