2019 SEMA Show Preview: New Products Showcase

The Latest Product Offerings for 2019 and Beyond

The eye-catching project vehicles may generate the most buzz on the Show floor, but at the SEMA Show, there’s no better place to assess the state of the automotive aftermarket—and to stay abreast of all the latest tech and trends—than the New Products Showcase, located on the Skybridge between the Central and South Halls. Considered a first stop by many attendees, the Showcase is open for extended hours—8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. daily—to accommodate the needs of exhibitors and buyers alike who may be unable to visit during regular Show hours. It’s also next door to the Media Center, making it convenient for members of the press who need to make the most of their Show time.

Roughly 3,000 new products, arranged by category, are entered into the Showcase each year, and 2019 promises to offer an equally diverse range of offerings for virtually every enthusiast market segment. The Showcase can also connect exhibitors and buyers thanks to scanning tools that are available at booths around the Showcase. Using a scanner, attendees can obtain detailed descriptions and company contact information for each product, which can be printed on site for use during the week. What follows is a sampling of the newest products from 2019 SEMA Show exhibitors, and a glimpse into what this year’s Showcase holds in store for attendees.

TKO Clamping Systems
Booth #50619

This custom clamp hood is said to be perfect for those in need of a solution for frayed braided line ends or hiding ugly cut ends of a radiator hose. It’s also a great way to add a beautiful, clean, custom appearance under a hood. For hose dimensions of 1.70 to 1.94 in., one of the size-six clamps will work. The hood simply goes over one of the size-six clamps and gives a 360-degree surround, unlike covers for ordinary hose clamps, which leave a gap at the bottom and allow an exposed view of the clamp. The hood comes anodized in any of our four popular colors. It is also available with custom engraving. The custom hood clamp requires a size-six clamp, either TKO’s premium adjustable clamps or custom hose clamps. All of the company’s clamps and hoods are made in the U.S.A.

Bubba Rope

Bubba Rope, an innovator in vehicle-recovery and towing products, expanded its Gator-Jaw synthetic shackle series to include the all-new NexGen Pro. A new slider design makes for an extremely easy-to-use synthetic shackle that is said to have a higher break rating for its size than any other synthetic shackle available today. The NexGen Pro is made from high-modulus polyethylene fiber rope, which is a lighter and safer replacement for heavy steel shackles and hooks. Bubba Rope engineered this new synthetic shackle in a way that eliminates the same rope-weakening splices found in other soft-shackle designs by using an epoxy rubber slider that slips over the patented knot. The 3/8-in. NexGen Pro weighs only 6.5 oz. yet has a 47,000-lb. breaking strength, an increase of 46% over the original Gator-Jaw synthetic shackle. Gator-Jaw synthetic shackles contain no metal, so they will not rust and are lightweight enough to float. All Bubba Rope products are made in the U.S.A.

TuxMat Inc.
Booth #33316

First-time SEMA Show exhibitor TuxMat manufactures custom car mats and is always adding products for the latest vehicle models to its product list. Standard universal-fit mats allow everyday elements to destroy a car floor, and their constant shifting can be a potential driving hazard. TuxMat has the technology to take a laser scan of a vehicle floor to make mats that fit the car like a second skin. Additionally, TuxMat uses a unique design component that matches the interior panel texture of a vehicle for a consistent look and sleek finish. TuxMat is comprised of a PVC top layer for durability and a matching interior texture, an EVA middle layer for a pliable and comfortable yet substantial structure, and an anti-slip bottom layer for added safety. The unique composition of a TuxMat makes it 100% waterproof, and it can be cleaned by a quick wipedown with a cloth and water. The mat remains firmly in place, thanks to the use of independent retention hooks and side security clips. It also covers the carpet area of the car, unlike other alternatives on the market, leaving no crevice or gap exposed.
