New CAD Data Available Through SEMA Garage

The SEMA Garage Tech Transfer program recently added several new items to its computer-aided design (CAD) data offerings.

OEM CAD data for the ’19 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra is now available for crew cab models with 5-ft.-8-in. and 6-ft.-6-in. beds. OEM CAD data for the Cummins R2.8 crate engine is also available. The Cummins R2.8 turbodiesel is a four-cylinder turbocharged engine that currently makes 267 lb.-ft. of torque (1,500–3,000 rpm) and 161 hp at 3,600 rpm.

Additionally, the Tech Transfer program expanded to include an aftermarket product manufacturer for the first time. Dynacorn International LLC—manufacturer of replacement body shells—made two of its most popular models available: the Dynacorn ’67 Ford Mustang Fastback and the ’69 Chevy Camaro.

Tech Transfer members can browse the SEMA Garage Tech Transfer website repository to view available files. If the desired files are not listed, an OEM CAD request can be placed, and the SEMA Garage team will work to acquire the data.

Those who are not Tech Transfer members but would like to join should contact techtransfer@sema.org.
