HRIA Events at the SEMA Show

By Katie Carson

Visit with HRIA members in booth #23395, and be sure to check out the three feature vehicles showcasing the talents of up-and-coming builders.

The Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) will have a large presence at the SEMA Show, including its iconic booth and industry awards reception. HRIA members are encouraged to take advantage of being at the same place at the same time and enjoying some quality networking and recognition opportunities as well as seeing some really cool hot rods.

You can always catch HRIA members and select-committee members in the HRIA booth, located in the Hot Rod Alley section of Central Hall, booth #23395. HRIA and the Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO) have historically shared one large booth space, allowing collaboration between the two councils.

HRIA and ARMO have separate initiatives and programs, but their overall goals are typically in alignment, and members benefit from networking with one another. The booth is commonly referred to Central Park because it is always buzzing and has nice sitting areas to rest your feet from walking the Show floors, as well as meeting other industry professionals and council members.

Three vehicles will be displayed in the HRIA booth, while another six will be featured at the HRIA industry reception (with one as an alternate). The three HRIA display vehicles are from builders who were selected from the HRIA feature vehicle program, which highlights young, up-and-coming builders in the industry.

The program provides exposure for 10 hot-rod builders to thousands of potential partners and buyers. HRIA feature vehicles have historically taken home awards such as the Mother’s Shine Award, Ford Best in Show, Gran Turismo Award, GM Design Award and more.

HRIA Builder’s Panel

On Thursday, November 1, come to room N258 in the Las Vegas Convention Center from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. to have an interactive panel discussion with well-established hot-rod builders and shop owners as they go through their best practices in customer relations, business operations and building tips, tricks and stories.

HRIA proudly displays six feature vehicles at their annual Reception held Wednesday evening of the SEMA Show. These unique vehicles highlight the talents of builders across the nation.

Celebrate Industry Leaders

Join HRIA as its members gather for an evening of networking, snacks, beverages and celebrating individuals and companies who lead the hot-rod industry. The much-anticipated event, located in the Westgate Paradise Center, kicks off after the close of the SEMA Show on Wednesday, October 31.

Mix and mingle with hot-rod industry friends in a relaxed environment off the SEMA Show floor. Grab a drink and plate of snacks, and settle in to a table to watch the show. After the colors are presented by the Las Vegas Police Department honor guard and the national anthem is sung, former HRIA Chairman Rick Love of Vintage Air will emcee the event as industry leaders are recognized for their outstanding achievements.

Companies may purchase reserved tables for the best seats in the house by emailing Jim Skelly at All proceeds from table reservations benefit the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund.
