The ’19 Chevy Camaro will retain its six-speed manual transmission (at least in some trims). Rumors have been swirling about a seven-speed manual (borrowed from the C7) mated to the 6.2L Camaro since Autoguide.com discovered documents from the California Air Resources Board earlier this year.

The Camaro will get an extensive mid-cycle facelift. Based on the camouflage on this prototype, the front end on standard models will receive comprehensive changes from the A-pillar forward. Around back are a revised rear fascia and new taillights.

Expect minor engine enhancements and more widespread use of the 10-speed automatic transmission now offered on the ZL1. More technology features lifted from the Cadillac ATS are also likely.

 

It appears that GMC will get its own version of the Silverado Trail Boss and, according to a source in the know, it may arrive under the All-Terrain nameplate.

The Silverado Trail Boss is equipped with a 2-in. suspension lift, a locking rear differential, skidplates, Rancho shocks, 18-in. wheels, and Goodyear Duratrac off-road tires. It’s safe to assume that the majority of that equipment will make its way to the Sierra All-Terrain.

Expect the All-Terrain to be optioned with the 5.3L V8, which will use an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the 6.2L mated to the new 10-speed automatic. It should debut in the following months.

Land Rover is one year away from revealing its second-generation Evoque, which has been spotted testing at Nürburgring. The company will maintain the vehicle’s distinctive coupe-style shape and other key elements.

Codenamed L551, the new Evoque will be built on an overhauled version of the current D8 architecture. Refinements to the underpinnings will focus on improving ride comfort.

Land Rover has resisted creating a pure performance version—the model is considered every bit the “mini Range Rover” in terms of luxury and refinement. Further improvement in both areas is expected.

Land Rover’s suite of new four-cylinder, turbocharged Ingenium gas and diesels will carry over. Look for further improvements to fuel economy and CO2 emissions.
