Global Shop Solutions is celebrating 20 years of technological innovations for ERP Software under the leadership of Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Chris Okamuro. Thirty years ago, co-owners Matt and Bill Howell opened their Howell EFI doors for business. Today, the company offers a line of standalone and integrated wiring harnesses to adapt late-model GM V8 or 4.3L V6 engines to any vehicle. This year, Howell EFI launched a new website and multiple new products and announced that Howell now provides almost universal throttle-body injection coverage for any make and model V6 or V8 engine that uses ignition other than points.

Advanced Lighting Systems (ALS), distributed exclusively in North America by JohnDow Industries, announced that three of its LED lighting products have been named iF Design Award recipients. Edelbrock announced the appointment of Don Barry to the position of president and CEO. Barry joins Edelbrock after most recently serving as the chief commercial officer of ISN, a distributor of automotive tools. Hubb Filters announced the appointment of Scott Son as the company’s chief financial officer. Son has more than 30 years of professional experience that includes leadership and C-level finance roles in the clean tech and renewable energy industries. Son’s career includes work in capital markets, finance, private equity and mergers and acquisitions. Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame Chairman Mark McMillin announced the addition of two new board members, Jeff Furrier and Rafael Navarro III. Both will serve three-year terms, effective immediately. Furrier’s family has been in the tire business since 1963 and later expanded to include Desert Rat Off Road Centers and UPR Racing Supply. He has worked in the business since 1980. Navarro has worked for automotive and motorsports companies for more than 22 years. In addition to being chief marketing officer of Pirelli Tire North America, he also serves on the board of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America. National Performance Warehouse Companies (NPW) acquired CP Auto Parts, located in Rainsville, Alabama, and Abbie Auto Parts in Boaz, Alabama. That brings the total of the southeast auto-parts chain to 12. The southeast auto stores are supported out of NPW’s Associate Jobbers Warehouse (AJW) in Boaz. AJW operates from a 165,000-sq.-ft. modern facility that serves more than 200 jobbers. With the CP Auto Parts acquisition, NPW has tapped the talent and experience of Donna Harris, who assumed the role of regional store manager for the Southeast auto-parts chain. For the sixth straight year, Yokohama Tire Corp. earned Caterpillar’s premier supplier award: The Platinum Level Recertification in its Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP). The award went to Yokohama’s factory in Onomichi, Japan, which produces original equipment and replacement off-the-road tires for a wide range of equipment. Caterpillar’s SQEP award recognizes suppliers that have exhibited excellent process control, shown a desire for ongoing continuous improvement and have provided quality products to Caterpillar. Shelby Legendary Cars, the official licensed builder of authentic ’60s Shelby continuation Cobras, Daytona Coupes and GT40s, announced that the company has moved to a new location in Irvine, California, that features a larger showroom and customer reception area. The new California location reflects the company’s national expansion efforts to meet growing demand for Shelby heritage cars. Guests can view a variety of Shelby vehicles on display and work with a company representative to build their own continuation car.

Vortech Superchargers announced the addition of Dave Werremeyer. Well known and respected among racers and manufacturers alike, Werremeyer brings a wealth of racing information and relationships that will benefit both new and existing Team Vortech racers. Formerly national tech director and racer communications for ProMedia, Werremeyer was in charge of creating and overseeing the rules for the heads-up racing classes and running each vehicle through tech inspection at each NMRA and NMCA race event.

“CarCast” added WWE superstar and car collector Bill Goldberg as co-host for a new weekly podcast. Goldberg will host “CarCast With Goldberg and The Motorator” with Matt “The Motorator” D’Andria. The new show, powered by Dodge, will also include a monthly segment featuring a special guest from to discuss new-car buying tips, vehicle testing and the future of automotive industry. “CarCast With Goldberg and The Motorator” will be available for download every Wednesday.

Design Mark Industries announced the completion of the Design Mark Industries rebranding process, which includes a revised company logo, color scheme and redesigned website. Additionally, Beatrice Thouveny joined the Design Mark Industries team as marketing director. Thouveny previously worked as business-to-business marketing manager and senior product marketing manager for Samsung Electronics, where she defined the company’s global marketing and product-management strategy, focusing specifically on branding and positioning.

Motovicity announced its selection of Blue Ridge technology services and software to further optimize Motovicity’s supply-chain management performance and drive organizational goals. Aeromotive was chosen by Ringbrothers as the fuel tank and pump of choice for the majority of the company’s future custom vehicle builds.
