Don’t Miss These Hidden Gems at the SEMA Show!

The show season rush is officially on, with only about 60 days left before many of us will meet at that grand industry gathering in Las Vegas—the SEMA Show! And nowhere are there more opportunities to bring new products to market, meet with massive numbers of customers and jockey for market position and success in the upcoming selling season.

In a week as jam-packed as SEMA Show week will be, it’s not hard to overlook some key events, opportunities and preparation that will multiply your chances for a productive show. Here a few things to add to your “do” list that will give you an edge going into the Show:

Education Seminars: Many seminars are free to attend and open to all SEMA Show attendees, including a fast-paced, two-hour segment titled “Product Visibility in Today’s Marketplace: Four Fast Tracks for Increasing Sales,” sponsored by the SEMA Data Co-op (SDC). Four different presenters will bring you quick, useful techniques and information on developing an effective e-commerce category tree, real sales results from your data investment, automating business transactions, and creative how-to videos. A variety of other seminars will run on Monday, October 31, and throughout the week as well. Contact Zane Clark at zanec@sema.org for information.

New Products Section: Do you have a new product making its debut at the SEMA Show? If so, be sure to register it for display in the New Products Showcase. One of the most heavily trafficked areas during Show week, it draws tens of thousands of curious buyers looking for a first glimpse of the hottest, newest parts and accessories. Learn more at the www.SEMAShow.com website.

Product Data: Are your current and new products supported by complete, accurate product data that includes quality market copy, images, videos and all required ACES/PIES-compliant fields? If not, the SDC (booth #20579) will once again be at the Show with its management team, member support staff and data analysts, ready to answer your questions and outline a path to success in data management. Now the largest openly available industry data repository, with nearly 500 participating brands and tens of thousands of data receivers, the SDC is the industry’s meeting place for product data management and distribution.

It’s never too late to start planning how you can maximize your time at the SEMA Show, and a great place to start is at
www.SEMAShow.com, where you will find everything from exhibitor and attendee information to events and frequently asked questions. We look forward to seeing you there!

As always, the SDC is providing free consultations at the SEMA Show to help you start or improve your product data management effort. Contact us today for an appointment!

To learn more about the SDC and how to make your product data generate more sales, contact Director of Membership Jim Graven via e-mail at jimg@semadatacoop.org or by phone at 888-958-6698 x4. Effective product data management is more affordable than you might think.
