Line-X donated $50,000 to UCLA Operation Mend—a nonprofit organization that provides medical treatment for veterans wounded in war. In November, Line-X auctioned a West Coast Customs customized ’13 Chevrolet Camaro 1SS Coupe for $32,000 at the Anaheim Mecum Auction, with proceeds going to UCLA Operation Mend. After the car sold, Line-X executives pitched in another $18,000. The check was presented by veteran and Line-X President Dennis Weese at the Operation Mend headquarters in Los Angeles. announced that Josh Deltener has been appointed the new director of information technology, and Ryan McDonald has been promoted to digital marketing manager. In his new position, Deltener, who has been a senior-level-five web developer with the company, will oversee RealTruck’s system administration, help desk and web-development teams. MagnaFlow has named Kahn Media as its sole media agency of record. Motovicity Distribution united its sales and marketing departments for an enhanced customer experience. Brett Kinsfather was promoted to sales and marketing manager. In this role, Kinsfather leads Motovicity’s sales and customer-service teams while overseeing the company’s marketing department, now operated by Assistant Marketing Manager April Zuk and her team. Zuk is responsible for managing day-to-day marketing activities, executing promotions with manufacturers and overseeing advertising-campaign production. Shell is now recognized as the official fuels and lubricants of America’s Car Museum (ACM), thanks to its five-year commitment to support the Tacoma-based automotive museum’s many events and initiatives. Meyer Distributing Inc. announced the addition of a location in Corpus Christi, Texas. Federal-Mogul Motorparts and M1 Concourse have forged a partnership resulting in the Champion brand’s official sponsorship of a state-of-the-art, 1.5-mile automotive performance track in Pontiac, Michigan. M1 Concourse is a $40 million-plus development project on an 87-acre former General Motors plant site. The development will include more than 250 private garages and a public experiential restaurant and retail destination. The Enthusiast Network (TEN) announced management and organizational changes related to the company’s truck and off-road and performance aftermarket groups, aimed at increasing premium content across multiple media platforms. As a result of this initiative, TEN brings together leadership functions for the Truck Trend and Four Wheeler networks through the appointment of Sean P. Holman as content director for both networks. E3 Spark Plugs has announced the appointment of motorsports industry veteran Rob Fisher to the position of vice president in charge of motorsports, marketing and business development. Daystar Products International purchased the assets of Performance Accessories. Availability and pricing have changed for some products, and all products have new part numbers and UPC codes. The new discount structure of the Performance Accessories line will be the same as Daystar’s discount structure. All purchases made from January 5, 2016, will be paid to Daystar Products. Voxx International Corporation announced the grand opening of its flagship VoxxHirschmann OEM manufacturing facility based in Orlando, Florida. A groundbreaking ceremony was held January 20. The company selected Orlando due to its local-based talent pool for expansion, proximity to major transportation hubs and business-friendly climate. Officials with the Championship Auto Racing Series (CARS) tour announced VP Racing Fuels will continue as the series’ official fuel through the 2018 season. Under the agreement, VP’s CRT—a proprietary race fuel blend for exclusive use by all CARS competitors—has been designated as spec fuel for the series. In addition to being named the official fuel of the tour, VP Racing Fuels will be the title sponsor of the Super Late-Model division.
