Collector Car Appreciation Day Set for July 8

The seventh annual Collector Car Appreciation Day will be celebrated July 8, 2016. The holiday was developed to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society. At the request of the SEMA Action Network (SAN), the U.S. Senate has passed resolutions each year recognizing the day. The states of Louisiana and West Virginia, along with the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan, adopted their own resolutions last year to commemorate the occasion.

SAN maintains and publicizes an online list of scheduled Collector Car Appreciation Day events. To see ideas, event listings or to submit your event for promotion, visit www.SEMAsan.com/ccad. If you are unable to celebrate on July 8, SAN encourages events to be scheduled throughout the month of July. For questions, contact SAN Director Colby Martin at san@sema.org.
