The 2015 SEMA Award
The Hottest Vehicles of the 2015 SEMA Show
The 2015 SEMA Award for Hottest Car for the Ford Mustang, Hottest Truck for the Ford F-Series and Hottest Sport Compact for the Ford Focus was presented by SEMA President and CEO Chris Kersting (left) to Global Director Ford Performance Dave Pericak (center). The SEMA Award for Hottest 4x4-SUV went to Jeep for the Jeep Wrangler and was presented to Pietro Gorlier (right), head of MOPAR.
A series of awards are bestowed upon four vehicle models each year at the SEMA Show. In essence, the SEMA Award represents the industry’s choices for the most accessory-friendly vehicles entering the coming year. The selections include awards for the hottest car, truck, 4x4-SUV and sport compact, and they are determined through a count of the vehicles that exhibitors have chosen to display in their booths. This marks the fourth year that the SEMA Award presentations have been made.
“The SEMA Show is an event where the newest and most innovative aftermarket products are seen first,” said Chris Kersting, SEMA president and CEO. “And the SEMA Award celebrates the industry’s unique ability to identify and set the trends that influence consumers worldwide.”
The Ford Mustang was honored with the SEMA Award for the Hottest Car; the Ford Focus took the Hottest Sport Compact honors; the Ford F-Series was named Hottest Truck; and the Jeep Wrangler received the Hottest 4x4-SUV award.
Eligibility is limited to new ’15–’16 cars, trucks, 4x4s-SUVs and sport compacts, and all OEM exhibitors may participate. The SEMA Award underscores the cooperative relationship between the automakers and SEMA-member companies.
The 2015 SEMA Show featured more than 2,400 exhibiting companies that manufacture thousands of products designed to improve performance, safety and convenience, as well as those that enhance appearance and comfort. While products are available for every make and model, exhibitors this year invested more in the Ford Mustang, Ford Focus, Ford F-Series and Jeep Wrangler than any other vehicles.
2015/2016 Ford Mustang, 2015 SEMA Show Hottest Car
Diode Dynamics offers unique LED lighting products, many designed and manufactured at their facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Their SEMA build, a ’15 Mustang EcoBoost, features their custom lighting products for every location, giving the car a custom look.
“After seeing the ’15 Mustang at the 2014 SEMA Show, we instantly fell in love with the modern styling and unique features it has to offer,” said Steve Eppy, the company’s public-relations specialist. “We decided that it was time for our engineering team to focus on developing exciting new products for this platform. We purchased a ’15 EcoBoost Mustang just weeks after attending the 2014 Show so that we could get started on development right away.”
The car came together with a selection of Diode Dynamics exclusive products, including a Stage 2 interior LED conversion kit, front switchback turn signals and side markers, an LED reverse light, RGBWA sequential LED replacement boards, the first plug-and-play RGBW Demon Eye, a fourth brake light kit, a taillight sequencer and rear LED side-marker assemblies.
Following the lighting modifications, the company moved on to the other major aspects of the car, adding components from HRE Wheels, AirLift Performance, MagnaFlow, Cobb Tuning, Steeda, Lethal Performance, JPM Coachworks, Vinyl Images, Franjo Speed, Gateway Powder Coating, Anarchy Motive, Horn Blasters and Panda Motorworks.
“The Ford engineers and designers really hit the ’15+ Mustang out of the park,” Eppy said. “That was evident by its strong presence at this year’s SEMA Show.”
“The Ford Mustang is among the most recognizable of all vehicles,” said James Stone, marketing manager for Dawn Enterprises Inc. “It has a fan base like no other, and it is arguably the most accessorized vehicle. That is perfect for us, because we can cater to the needs of the people who want to accessorize their Mustangs. There were a lot of Mustangs at 2015 SEMA Show, but no one—not even Ford—has made a pedestal spoiler for the new Mustang that fits the traditional sporty look quite like we have. In fact, we have two new spoilers for the ’15+ models, as well as a roofline spoiler, body side molding, graphics and colored extruded trim.”
Stone said that the Mustang’s sleek bodylines allowed the Dawn Enterprises engineers to use the spoiler to add more character to the vehicle, and the booth vehicle was also outfitted with Eagle Enterprises graphics.
“Ford gave us a lot to work with by producing Mustangs with both no spoiler at all and with the little lip spoiler they made,” he said. “As far as we can see, there’s no competition with our new Pedestal Spoiler.”
Monument Tools manufactures extraction tools for a range of applications, including for the removal of windshields, back glass, vent and quarter glass. The company manufactures leverage knives designed for cutting out urethane, plugs, caps, trim and moldings, and it offers pry tools designed not to mar or scratch paint or plastic.
“Monument Tools Inc. is proud to be associated with two great American brands,” said Tony Carcione, the company’s COO. “The Mustang is an outstanding American musclecar.”
The company used its Mustang to demonstrate exposed pinch welds and pillars in its booth to highlight the zero-damage aspect of its tools, including its glass-extraction tools and trim, clip and panel tools.
Anderson Composites, a new brand with a focus on domestic vehicles, produces unique carbon-fiber hoods, decklids, hatches, splitters, rear valances and a wide range of other body modifications.
“The Mustang S550 continues to spark the legendary musclecar rivalry and brings it to a global stage with Ford’s international distribution of the car,” said Andy Fritts, marketing manager for Anderson Composites. “The Ford Mustang has great aesthetics and lines that our designers have been able to further enhance for improved performance as well as a more aggressive and customized look.”
In addition to the company’s own offerings, the Anderson Composites Mustang also featured performance products from ROUSH Performance, Whiteline, Eibach, Forgeline and Nitto, with cleaning products supplied by Mothers and tools from Snap-On.
“Anderson Composites looks forward to continuously developing and enhancing the Ford Mustang with cutting-edge carbon-fiber and fiberglass parts and components,” Fritts said.
Classic Design Concepts (CDC) has designed and manufactured a wide variety of restyling products to complement the ’15–’16 Mustang as well as models dating back to ’87. The Outlaw package for the ’15–’16 Mustang features CDC’s front chin spoiler, side rockers, deck-lid spoiler, high-mount spoiler, graphics package and the convertible lightbar. CDC also introduced its lightweight, flow-forged Outlaw Wheel, available in 20x9 and 20x10 sizes and offered in three color options for the ’05–’16 Mustang.
The Mustang that was displayed in the CDC booth was the Neiman Marcus limited-edition convertible. This car was featured as one of the fantasy gifts in the Christmas book released during the holiday season by Neiman Marcus. Limited to just 100 units, the Neiman Marcus Mustang featured exclusive parts such as the Speedster cover, a double-hoop sport bar and a blue/black/silver paint and graphics package. The car also features performance and suspension upgrades from Ford Performance and sits on 20-in. Forgeline wheels.
“We would like to congratulate Ford Motor Company for this well-deserved award,” said CDC General Manager Kale Dicks.
2015/2016 Ford F-Series, 2015 SEMA Show Hottest Truck
Nitrous Express offers a variety of vehicle-specific nitrous plate systems for the V6 and V8 versions of Ford’s F-150 as well as multiple options for the F-250 and F-350 in both gasoline and diesel applications. The company views F-Series pickups as a high priority for new products in the future as the platform changes.
“Ford’s F-Series trucks are everywhere—used as day-to-day commute vehicles and as workhorses,” said Ryan Lewis, marketing manager for Nitrous Express. “For us, displaying an F-Series pickup in our booth was about the style of build the owner of the vehicle choses and how it incorporates Nitrous Express products in a way that most people never think of. And it provides a great example of what we always say: ‘Nitrous Express is perfect for any vehicle!’”
The F-Series in the Nitrous Express booth at the SEMA Show included engine performance products from Power Stroke Enginuities, Forgiato wheels, Chassis Fab suspension fabrication, Accuair air ride, Pristine Paint & Autobody copper details, a Deluxe Garage vinyl wrap, Rivera Auto Trim interior touches, DB Drive car audio and Philbuilt Designs custom billet trim.
“The F-Series makes for a great platform to start any build, whether it’s for street, strip, off-road or work,” Lewis said. “We love the F-Series.”
ProCharger offers bolt-on supercharger systems for both the 5.0L GT and the 3.7L V6 engine platforms found in the ’15–’16 Mustang. The systems offer power gains of more than 200 rear-wheel horsepower for the GT and more than 58% for the V6.
“ProCharger Superchargers was founded more than 20 years ago, building supercharger systems for 5.0L Mustangs,” said Erik Radzins, calibrations tech and social-media marketing manager for the company. “It’s only fitting to show off the fact that supercharging this American pony car is still one of the strongest markets for us, even though two decades have passed. The Mustang gives the average do-it-yourself owner the ability to modify his Mustang easily to make it his or her own. With the amazing engineering that Ford has put into these cars, bolting on big power gains from supercharger systems like ours is not only easy but also very reliable.
“Ford’s engineers and designers really knocked it out of the park on this new S550 platform. They kept the ‘gearhead’ in their thoughts by giving us all an amazing foundation to enjoy, whether it’s as a daily driver or a weekend track toy. One of the best things about a Mustang has always been how modification-friendly the platform has been, and this S550 is no different. For that, we thank the Ford engineers.”
Fox Factory Inc. offers a full line of application-specific, direct replacement bolt-on shocks for the full range of F-Series trucks, ranging from 2.0 Performance Series IFP monotube shocks all the way up to 2.5 Factory Race Series Dual Speed Compression adjustable-reservoir shocks.
“We like that Ford is very off-road minded, and we have developed a strong relationship with them in developing the Ford Raptor,” said Bryan Harrold, the company’s marketing programs manager. “While the Raptor comes equipped from the factory with Fox internal-bypass shocks, we also offer upgrade options for the Raptor and the full F-Series lineup, including adjustable and nonadjustable coil-overs and smooth body shocks available with or without external reservoirs The truck in our booth was the all-new, 700hp Shelby F-150, which comes standard with Fox 2.5 aluminum internal-bypass shocks. These shocks were developed specifically for the Shelby F-150 and mark the first time we have made aluminum-bodied internal-bypass shocks for outside of our Racing Applications Development program—a direct trickle-down of race technology to the consumer market.”
The truck was also outfitted with interior and exterior Shelby styling elements, BFG all-terrain tires, a BDS suspension system by Shelby, an upgraded billet throttle body as well as high-performance fuel injectors, a Whipple supercharger and a Shelby-tuned Borla Performance exhaust.
“The new body styling coupled with the innovative craftsmanship made it a no-brainer that we wanted to build and show a new F-150 that showcased our own innovative products,” said Shaun Callaway, product development and project vehicle builder for AnzoUSA. “I would say that the new body design has made it even more stylish than previous models without sacrificing the fact that it is a truck that you can abuse.”
AnzoUSA produces a diverse selection of lighting and accessory products for the F-Series and other applications, including 3D LED taillights, LED third-brake lights and an LED tailgate cap that features integrated taillight functions. The company is also working on LED replacement fog lights.
The F-150 displayed in the AnzoUSA booth included Nitto tires, SOTA wheels, a 7-in. ReadyLift lift, an N-Fab front bumper and steps, Doug Thorley exhaust, EGRUSA fender flares and window deflectors, a Kicker sound system, Roadwire leather interior, a BAK bed cover, a Switch Pros switch panel power system, DefenderWorx grille and tailgate ovals, a Wraps1 wrap using Avery Denison vinyl, a Line X spray-on bed liner, Surf City car care products, a Fastway Trailer hitch and an SCT Performance programmer and monitor.
“Ford has produced a phenomenal truck that is easy to customize and make your own,” Callaway said.
Pro Comp, a subsidiary of Transamerican Manufacturing Group (TMG), has a strong selection of wheel designs and lighting solutions available for the F-Series, and the company debuted a new A/T Sport tire tread at the SEMA Show. The company used a Ford Raptor to promote the new tread, but its most comprehensive range of products revolves around suspension systems.
“We have leveling systems, coil-over lift kits and replacement shocks of varying levels of performance,” said Chloe Eady, marketing manager for TMG, which is also the parent company of Smittybilt, Rubicon Express and G2 Axle. “Without a doubt, the most exciting product is our long-travel suspension system for the new F-150. We will be providing a complete package for consumers, as well as peace of mind knowing each kit has undergone and passed the stringent FMVSS 126 safety standard. The new F-150 has been a long-awaited launch that we knew would take the off-roading community by storm. Having this vehicle on display allowed us to share with our customers our latest and greatest products.”
Eady said that Pro Comp is continually working on new products, with the intention of filling voids in the market where customer needs are not being met.
“We partnered with Roadwire, FLIR, Rugged Radios, MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust and G2 Axle & Gear to ensure that our F-150 could tackle any obstacle Baja could throw at it,” she said. “And the crew from Trail Wax helped make sure the truck looked her best at every appearance.”
Bulldog Lighting offers a full range of American-made LED lightbars as well as specific brackets for the F-Series trucks. The company uses the F-Series for its promotional vehicles because of the popularity of Ford trucks and how well they display Bulldog Lighting products.
The F-350 exhibited in the Bulldog Lighting booth was fitted with Rockslide Engineering bumpers, Ride-Rite air bags, a Titan fuel tank, a Magnum headache rack, Nitto Trail Grappler tires, Fuel 20-in. wheels, a Warn winch, Dlink Factor 55 components, Kicker audio, Spyder headlights, Odyssey batteries and products from sPOD and 3M.
“The F-Series offers reliability, towing power and off-road capabilities,” said CEO Dylan Sievers. “We look forward to seeing what Ford comes out with next!”
2015/2016 Jeep Wrangler, 2015 SEMA Show Hottest 4x4-SUV
KC HiLites supplies an assortment of LED, HID and halogen lighting products for the Jeep Wrangler, including LED headlights, Gravity LED fog lights, Flex LED modular and expandable lights, carbon POD HID and LED long-range lights, C-Series lightbars with universal brackets, and Cyclone LED universal lights that can serve as colorful rock, accent or interior lights.
“KC HiLites has been building the highest-quality auxiliary lights for more than 45 years, and we wanted to showcase a vehicle that epitomized our adventure-seeking nature as a company while also showcasing our latest and greatest LED and HID lighting products,” said Casey Cordeiro, the company’s marketing manager. “This Jeep Wrangler showcased extreme capability wrapped in a top-notch package that was made for adventure. It is a custom, Hemi-equipped Jeep that featured several new accessories, such as a fully integrated Alpine stereo system that perfectly complemented the custom alligator-leather interior. Attendees were not only drooling about the interior and all of the features, but they also liked how the Jeep sat up with a custom lift kit and large tires and wheels that gave this Jeep a one-of-a-kind stance. The Jeep was built by Starwood Motors out of Dallas, Texas, and anyone interested in seeing a full build list should pick up a copy of the November 2015 Dupont Registry, where the Jeep is on the cover.”
“The F-Series Super Duty’s performance and overall good looks were the deciding factors in building this truck,” said Thomas Hornbake, who handles marketing for S&B Filters. “Our F-450 Super Duty has a high payload and high towing capacity, and the build crew knew that they would put this truck to use for what it was built for after the SEMA Show was over. That means hauling and daily driving to and from the oil fields.”
S&B Filters offers a cold-air intake system with a cleanable filter and a dry filter for the F-Series. The booth truck was built by Keg Media and Select Offroad in Odessa, Texas.
The Super Duty was outfitted with a Kelderman air-suspension lift, Accuair Suspension air management, Viair compressors, Fusion bumpers, a Warn winch, Factor 55 ProLink, American Force 22-in. forged-aluminum wheels, Interco 35-in. tires, Amp Research retractable steps, MagnaFlow exhaust, an SCT Performance programmer, PlainANsimple custom headlights with Morimoto projectors, a Royalty Core grille, Monster Hooks swivel hooks and recovery hook, a Fastway Trailer Products drop hitch, Rigid Industries lighting, Recon LED taillights, cab lights and bed side-marker lights and HornBlasters train horns. All of the suspension components were powdercoated using Prismatic Powders Wilder Red.
Bestop offers a wide range of products for Jeep vehicles, and the company says that it is the leading producer of soft tops for the Wrangler. Bestop also offers interior and exterior accessories that are designed with the Wrangler enthusiast in mind and is constantly engineering new products specifically for the Jeep Wrangler.
“We included three 2015 Jeep Wranglers in our SEMA Show display to showcase our new products, such as the Sunrider for Hardtop and our new seat covers,” said Rick Vermeil, marketing specialist at Bestop. “The Jeep Wrangler is one of the most accessorized vehicles on the road today. Wrangler drivers take pride in making their rides capable and unique, and they do so with the huge assortment of parts offered by aftermarket manufacturers. The SEMA Show provides the ultimate stage for all companies that are designing and manufacturing Jeep Wrangler parts to show off their innovations.”
Bestop’s display Wranglers included components from many of the top aftermarket names, including Superwinch, Raceline, Falken, Fabtech, ARB, KC HiLites and Dynomax.
“The decision to have a Jeep Wrangler in our booth was easy for us,” said Mike DeFord, marketing director for Titan Fuel Tanks. “We had received many requests to build a gas tank for the Jeep, and it became our first vehicle-specific tank. Everything we’d done before was for diesel trucks. So while having a Jeep made sense from a product-launch standpoint, we also knew that people would be shocked to see a Jeep in a company booth that had only been diesel previously. This was my 24th SEMA Show, and I’ve never seen domination like it. There seemed to be a Jeep every 50 feet.”
Titan introduced its new Trail Trekker transfer tank at the Show. The tank mounts on the rear spare carrier of YJ, TJ and JK Wranglers. It carries 12 gallons of gasoline in a rust- and corrosion-proof tank made of polymer material, and it fits on stock and aftermarket spare tire carriers.
The Titan booth Wrangler was outfitted with myriad other aftermarket products. Rugged Ridge supplied virtually its entire catalog, DeFord said, and the suspension is all Tera Flex. The vehicle was also equipped with Falken tires, SOTA wheels, Assault Off Road lights, Factor 55 hooks and shackles, a Bully Dog tuner and Rare Parts fittings.
Rhino Linings has been marketed as a sprayed-on truck bedliner for more than 27 years. Instead of demonstrating the obvious at the 2015 SEMA Show, the company chose to showcase other popular Rhino Linings applications on its Jeep Wrangler booth vehicle.
“The best attribute of the Wrangler is the ability for owners to customize it literally any way they want it—from bumper to bumper, tire to roof rack,” said Dave Doetsch of Doetsch Off-Road, who has partnered with Rhino Linings on several Jeep builds. “There is a wider range of aftermarket support for Wranglers than for any other vehicle, and it also helps introduce the next generation to a lifestyle that can only be defined through Jeep ownership.”
“The most popular Rhino Linings applications for Jeeps include the Jeep tub, wheelwells, bumpers, rocker rails and tube fenders, to name a few,” said Jennifer Villalobos-Bentcik, the company’s marketing manager.
The Rhino Linings booth Wrangler also featured products from TeraFlex, Doetsch Shocks, Katzkin Leather, Rugged Ridge, Warn, Genesis Offroad, Odyssey Batteries, sPOD, Rigid Industries, Truck-Lite, JCR Offroad, Adams Driveshafts, Bolt Locks and Gibson Exhaust.
“WTW Corp. selected a Jeep Wrangler as its booth vehicle because it has proven to be a diverse platform with which to sell a substantial number of aftermarket products,” said. Fernando Guzman, WTW’s marketing director. “The vehicle’s cult-like community of ‘Jeepsters’ comes from all walks of life and shares a common ground of loving all things Jeep, and when people started noticing that the Jeep in our booth had a Hellcat motor in it, they went nuts. But the best attribute of the Wrangler for us is the ability to upsize wheels and tires.”
WTW’s new wheel brand, Koko Solid, was specifically developed for off-road enthusiasts, while the company’s other brands, including Giovanna, Gianelle and Koko Kuture, all have fitments for the street look.
“The Jeep we had in our booth was built and supplied by the team over at FiveNine Design,” Guzman said. “Their build quality was so incredible that it guaranteed itself a spot in our booth. They run a top-notch operation and are a pleasure to work with, and we would also like to thank Cooper Tires for sending us a set of beastly tires.”
Guzman’s advice regarding the WTW booth Jeep: “Don’t try to roll up on that sleeper Wrangler just because it looks nice and is lifted with 37-in. knobby tires. You’ll wind up getting embarrassed!”
2015/2016 Ford Focus, 2015 SEMA Show Hottest Sport Compact
Ford’s own booth offered a striking selection of ’15 Ford Focus compact vehicles, including this offering from CJ Pony Parts.
“CJ Pony Parts feels that the Focus ST is the best all-around hot hatch available today, and makes a perfect daily driver option for automotive enthusiasts,” said Rich Boone, vice president of sales and marketing. “It offers the perfect balance between comfort and performance. It is a great platform for the enthusiasts to customize and make their own with suspension, wheel and performance modifications. We wanted to take our booth car to the next level with products we offer through our retail store and website.”
CJ Pony Parts outfitted the Focus with products from Cobb, AirLift, 1552, Diode Dynamics and GCR Auto Collision.
“We just want to congratulate Ford on having the best hot hatch at the SEMA Show and for continuing to produce cars that enthusiasts want to drive,” Boone said.
Rally Innovations offers a mix of production and prototype parts for the ’15 Focus ST. The components already in the marketplace include a front splitter, side splitters and a light plate, and the products under development consist of a rear wing, metal wide-bodied fenders and hood vents.
“The fact that we worked closely with all JDM manufacturers on this domestic—and now global—platform to show that there is Japanese support for Ford branding was crucial for us,” said Stanford Shih, head of product development for the company. “The Focus’s roots are rally-inspired and are thus a perfect fit for our company.”
The Rally Innovations Focus was fitted with products from some of the top brands in the sport compact realm, including powertrain parts from GReddy and Cobb; chassis components from RS-R Sports, R1 Concepts, Whiteline, Rays, M2 Tuning and Nitto; exterior assemblies from Baja Designs, Beat Sonic and its own Rally Innovations inventory; and interior elements from Cusco and Custom Gundam.
“We are glad to have contributed to the Hottest Sport Compact Award given to Ford,” Shih said. “It’s well-deserved, as the Focus ST paves the way for an even hotter hatch, the Focus RS!”
“The Ford Focus ST is a well-rounded performance hatchback that puts a smile on a driver’s face,” said Raffi Kazanjian, president of FSWerks. “Since we specialize in the Ford Focus, I believed that we had a significant amount of performance parts and accessories to transform this vehicle and provide a winning combination that could be presented at the SEMA Ford booth. The Focus ST gives the end user the best bang for the buck, which is what makes it a very successful vehicle for Ford Motor Company. It is a fantastic car to drive, especially with the EcoBoost engine.”
The FSWerks Focus was fitted with a variety of the company’s own performance equipment, including a Cool-Flo air-intake system, a 3-in. stainless steel turbo-back exhaust, a front-mount intercooler kit, a short-shift kit with aluminum bushings, rear engine mounts, lower front and rear stress bars and stainless-steel brake lines. Other equipment was supplied by Cobb Tuning, H&R Special Springs, Rotiform Wheels, Continental Tires, Stop-Tech, Triple R Composites and Graphicworks.
“After seeing the effort and dedication from Ford Motor Company at the SEMA Show this year, I personally believe they deserved this award 100%,” Kazanjian said. “As an aftermarket performance company, we are proud to be involved with a
manufacturer that really cares about performance and the aftermarket industry.”
The Focus ST fits the mold of Cobb Tuning’s customers to a tee. As one of the top choices in the sport-compact market, the Focus ST offers great functionality along with a very strong performance-enthusiast following.
“Ford provided us with a great opportunity to put our own spin on a completely stock Ford Focus ST,” said Marshall Glasgow, the company’s social-media manager and events coordinator.
The Cobb Tuning Focus was outfitted with a wealth of the company’s own products, including its Accessport V3 tuner, a turbo-back exhaust system, a front-mount intercooler, a cold-air intake, a turbo kit, motor mounts, an adjustable shift plate, a shift knob and a sound symposer delete. In addition, the car was outfitted with systems from Accuair Suspension, StopTech Brakes, Rotiform Wheels, BASF, Thule, ENVE Composites, JPM Coachworks and Triple R Composites.
“We will continue to support the Focus line with parts for new-model-year vehicles and are extremely excited to get our hands on the new Focus RS,” Glasgow said.
Ford Performance built its own ’16 Focus with inspiration by professional rally driver and master Hoonigan Ken Block. The car was modeled after Block’s own soon-to-be daily driver, but it was more than just a booth vehicle. This Focus RS was specifically created to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Relief Fund (JDRF). The car was raffled on November 9 following the SEMA Show, and the proceeds were donated to JDRF.
Developed by a team of engineers working in both Europe and the United States, the German-built, third-generation Focus RS will be the first Ford on the U.S. side of the Atlantic to wear the legendary RS badge. It’s powered by a high-output version of the 2.3L EcoBoost engine with a low-inertia, twin-scroll turbocharger that delivers 350 hp and 350 lb.-ft. of torque, which is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a Ford Performance all-wheel-drive system.
The new Ford Focus RS will allow drivers to fine tune their experience by selecting one of four different drive modes that modify everything from the all-wheel-drive settings, damping rates and electronic stability control to steering response, throttle response and even the exhaust note. The drive modes include Normal, Sport, Track and an industry-first Drift mode intended for track-only use. Sweet.
