’15 Hyundai Genesis

Latest Details: Prototypes for the ’15 Hyundai Genesis recently dropped the heavy fabric camouflage for hot-weather testing in the southwestern United States. Reports have surfaced that the new Genesis may offer all-wheel drive (AWD) in addition to its rear-wheel drive, and these photos appear to confirm the reports. KGP reported that one of the prototypes was spitting some serious gravel with the front wheels, suggesting that the front wheels are powered by a new AWD system. The quad oval-tip treatment seen has been spotted on prior prototypes. While it could be simply a styling revision, it may signify a new engine option.

Latest Details: This Raptor sports a new dual rear-exhaust setup and a collection of matte front and rear fenders as well as a matte-black hood. Blue-topped Fox Racing shock absorbers can be seen above the tires within the rear wheelwells, confirming that Raptor-spec goods truly reside underneath. The current Raptor has side-exit exhaust tips behind the passenger-side rear wheel. The dual exhaust clearly exits straight out the back, with tips at each corner on the rear bumper. A new exhaust may signal a special-edition Raptor. Perhaps this test truck points to a “farewell” to the Raptor variant to be sold alongside the new ’15 F-150.

GMC 2500 HD

Latest Details: The camouflage that previously covered GM’s HD pickup prototypes is now gone in favor of graphic camouflage, except the front fascia. KGP grabbed shots of a GMC 2500 HD, GMC HD Denali, Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 HD Dualie—all crew cab. The standard grille on the Sierra 2500 will have a three-slot design, differentiating it from the unveiled Sierra 1500s. The Sierra HDs will maintain the single light cluster found on the 1500s. The GMC HD Denali chrome mesh grille is massive, and the chrome is carried through to the front and rear bumpers, door handles and chrome running boards.

2014 Camaro ZL1 and SS

Latest Details: Here are some of KGP Photography’s first looks at the ’14 Camaro convertible in both ZL1 and SS trims. While the revamped Camaro has been a known quantity for a while now, the soft tops have not been seen in these trim combinations before. On the ZL1, there’s a combination of the old-style ZL1 nose mated with the Camaro’s redesigned rear. The soft-top SS was kitted out with quad exhaust and 20-in., five-spoke wheels. The revamped Camaro is expected to hit showrooms early this fall.
