When It Hits: GMC is taking steps to toughen up U.S. versions of the Colorado and Canyon to make them a better fit into American showrooms in 2014.

Latest Details: These latest shots of the ’15 GMC Canyon prototype reveals the front fascia’s larger grille design similar to the horizontal slats of the ’14 GMC Sierra. New details of the front bumper are also visible, with bold sculpting around the fog lights, leading into a thick lower air-intake.

When It Hits: Look for the Camaro lineup to hit showrooms later this year.

Latest Details: More info has surfaced about the upcoming Camaros after the showing at the New York Auto Show. The 1LE spec will carry new Camaro SS styling and incorporate the 1LE’s trademarked blacked-out hood. The ZL1 will not get the new front-end treatment that will be applied across the rest of the Camaro lineup. The RS has a cleaner front bumper and smaller fog lights set wide and inset smoothly into the front fascia.

When It Hits: Is Ford developing a smoke stack exhaust for production trucks? Who knows, but it’s an interesting curiosity to see as part of the Detroit test scene.

Latest Details: This prototype Ford F-Series Super Duty prototype with big-barreled smoke stacks has been spotted making several test runs in the Dearborn, Michigan, area. While not fitted with traditional factory exhaust, this prototype is registered on manufacturer “M” license plates—like every other prototype—indicating that it’s part of some Ford testing program.

C7 Corvette Pace Car

When It Hits: At press time, it was not known if this is indeed the C7 Pace Car for the upcoming Indy 500, scheduled to run May 26. In addition, the Chevy Camaro HotWheels Edition is serving as the Official Vehicle of the Indy 500 (in a blue very similar to this C7 Pace Car).

Latest Details: This C7 Corvette sporting a slew of safety lighting and curiously covered lower side sills may very well be the pace car for the 2013 Indy 500. The C7 is finished in what appears to be its Laguna Blue hue (although it may be a custom color). The lower side sills were covered in a white body wrap, which may very well hide a portion of its Pace Car livery.
