Federal Legislators Who Support the Hobby

You will find fans of the auto hobby and racing everywhere, even in the hallowed halls of Congress. Many members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate have shown their support for the hobby by joining the Congressional Automotive Performance and Motorsports Caucus.

The caucus was formed in 1996 in honor of the 100th year of the car and as a way to pay tribute to the many contributions the automotive performance and motorsports industry has made to the economy and to our national heritage. The caucus helps SEMA identify and form long-lasting working relationships with representatives and senators who share a love for the automobile and want to promote the growth and advancement of the auto hobby. SEMA began working with some members of the caucus when they served in state legislators, before their election to national office.

Caucus members have helped SEMA spread the word among national policymakers that the automotive performance industry is a vital economic engine, employing more than a million Americans and generating $38 billion in sales annually.

If you recognize any of the representatives or senators on the list of caucus members, consider taking a minute to send a message thanking them for joining the caucus. Log on to www.semapac.org to contact your representative or senator.
