The SEMA Launch Pad—a live event taking place Monday, October 29, in the Westgate Hotel and Casino Theater—will be hosted by James Pumphrey, head writer at Donut Media. Pumphrey will interact with the crowd, introduce the contestants and facilitate the entire event with an entertaining and a comedic spin.
Donut Media is one of the fastest-growing online automotive networks. Pumphrey hosts “Up to Speed,” “The New Car Show,” “Hot Laps,” “Car Boys” and he had one line in the TV show “Two Broke Girls” in 2008—a fact he likes to make known on a regular basis. He’s deceivingly tall, knowingly loud and he is dedicating this hosting gig to all the children around the world.
Launch Pad has partnered with the SEMA Education student program, which brings hundreds of automotive-driven high school students to Las Vegas to experience the SEMA Show, network with industry professionals and discover all the industry has to offer. The students will kick off their week by attending the live event.
