Sony PlayStation and Polyphony Digital, developers of the Gran Turismo driving simulator, will host this year’s Gran Turismo Awards. Celebrating their ninth year, the Gran Turismo Awards recognize the best vehicles shown at the SEMA Show in five different categories. Judges selected from leading industry media outlets will walk the SEMA Show floor on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 1–2, seeking and evaluating the vehicles that represent today’s hottest automotive trends and best embody the Gran Turismo spirit.
The culmination of the awards is the vehicle voted “Best in Show,” personally selected from the category winners by none other than Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, and announced at the Gran Turismo Awards ceremony. The winning Best in Show vehicle will join a group of previous winners and see their vehicle enshrined in the driving simulator as a playable part of a future Gran Turismo release.
