In addition to its 2010 World Car Design of the Year honors, SEMA members named the Chevrolet Camaro SEMA's Most Accessory-Friendly Vehicle for the second straight year.

Named Most Accessory-Friendly Vehicle at the 2009 SEMA Show for the second straight year by SEMA members, the Chevrolet Camaro has also been awarded the 2010 World Car Design of the Year at the New York International Auto Show.

The World Car Design of the Year is meant to highlight new vehicles with innovation and style that push
established boundaries. Cars eligible for this award are taken from the
list of 30 World Car candidates nominated by 59 World Car jurors from
25 countries across the globe.

BASF SE, which announced its exclusive title sponsorship earlier this year, presented the 2010 World Car Design of the Year award.

The top three contenders for 2010 World Car Design of the Year were the Camaro, Citroen C3 Picasso and Kia Soul.

Previous winners of the World Car Design of the Year award were the Fiat 500 (2009), Audi R8 (2008), Audi TT (2007) and Citroen C4 (2006).
