SEMA’S YEN AND MRC CO-SPONSOR 2nd ANNUAL PWA SILENT AUCTION BENEFITING THE SEMA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The SEMA Young Executives Network (YEN) and SEMA Manufacturer’s Rep Council (MRC) will be co-sponsoring the 2nd annual Performance Warehouse Association’s (PWA) Silent Auction to benefit the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund at their Annual PWA Conference being held September 21–24, 2008, at The Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix, Arizona.

The silent auction festivities will begin on Sunday, September 21, during the conference’s annual golf tournament at the Arizona Grand Golf Course. There will be items available for bidding on several holes as well as Closest to the Pin contests where participants can take a crack at winning memorabilia. There will also be items available for bidding at the conference’s annual pool party on Monday night, September 22.

The theme of the festivities will be sports memorabilia and will feature collectible items from every major sports category including racing, motorsports, football, baseball, golf, hockey, the Olympics, and more. The memorabilia ranges from exotic rare items to autographs and signed equipment. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund on behalf of PWA, YEN and MRC.

PWA’s Executive Director John Towle stated, “Once again PWA is fully supporting the efforts of the SEMA YEN and MRC in their endeavor to raise money for the SEMA Scholarship Fund. Last year’s inaugural event was great and it was able to raise $6,500 for the fund. With the support of the 2008 PWA conference participants, hopefully this year we can do even better.”

“We are excited that we will once again have the opportunity to raise funds for the SEMA Scholarship Fund at the annual PWA Conference," said YEN Silent Auction Chairperson Gregory Parker. "We want to thank PWA and SEMA for allowing us to put this together. We are also proud to have the MRC step up and join us in sponsoring this event. Hopefully together, through events like this, we can continue to raise funds and continue to make a difference in the lives of SEMA’s future leaders through the SEMA Scholarship Fund.”
