YEN and SPC will hold a joint reception in the Las Vegas Hilton’s Pavilions 1 and 2 on Tuesday, November 1, from 5:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m., at this year’s SEMA Show.
Membership in YEN is open at no cost to all SEMA-member company employees under the age of 40. YEN members are entrepreneurs, leading top businesses and actively pursuing higher levels of professionalism in the specialty-equipment market. The current membership roster represents some of the top technology, marketing, sales, operations and executive minds in the automotive industry.
The SEMA website is one of YEN’s most effective tools for networking. The group encourages members to sign on and find discussions, photos and the latest industry info. Discussions include everything from tough questions about what to do in new situations to where the industry is headed.
Get More Involved Withthe MRP
The YEN member resource pool (MRP) is always working on initiatives that bring the industry forward and help YEN members grow as individuals. Volunteers in the MRP are involved in projects such as putting the YEN reception together for the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, working out new educational programs for SEMA and writing content for SEMA eNews and YEN’s social networking pages. To volunteer for the member resource pool or to find a specific place where you can plug in, e-mail yen@SEMA.org.

While YEN may be best known for its networking opportunities at industry events such as the SEMA Show, the group has also embraced the growing popularity of social media by establishing a Facebook fanpage. Visitors to the page find it to be a great place for networking with like-minded automotive professionals as well as reviewing a host of career development and automotive industry resources. Content is updated daily by members of the YEN Select Committee, but all fans of the page are encouraged to participate in the conversations by contributing articles and website links that may be helpful to others.

Joint YEN/SPC Reception
Members of YEN will join with the Street Performance Council (SPC) for a combined reception at this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The SPC represents not only the latest in performance vehicles, but also the newest generation of automotive enthusiasts. A primary mission of the SPC is to bring an awareness of emerging trends as well as educational programs to SEMA members. As an example, the SPC annually presents an Internet Symposium, which is held in conjunction with the association’s Leadership Days in Southern California.
The joint reception will be held in the Las Vegas Hilton’s Pavilions 1 and 2 on Tuesday, November 1, from 5:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
Members of YEN and SPC as well as invited guests who are interested in joining either organization are invited to participate. Each attendee will receive a commemorative business card holder.
The evening will conclude with awards presentations for the Young Executive of the Year, Vanguard and a brand-new YEN/SPC Icon award. Join us in Las Vegas!
