Andrew Schroeder became the Light Truck Industry Alliance (LTAA) chair-elect on July 1. Schroeder started working part-time at Ben Murphy & Associates, a national rep agency, about 15 years ago. He had very limited knowledge of the business in the beginning, but he learned and took on more responsibility as he assisted in many different departments. Eight years ago, Schroeder moved into his current position of vice president.
For the first time, Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) Education Day will be held in conjunction with Detroit Autorama, the 60-year-old custom-car show that takes place each March at Cobo Hall in Detroit. The Education Day program will consist of 24 sessions, each led by an executive from a hot-rod parts manufacturer who will educate attendees about products features, benefits and installation guidelines.
