The WTC’s events at the SEMA Show are aimed at creating community among wheel and tire professionals through engagement with the council.
The Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) will be hosting events that will allow members of the aftermarket wheel and tire community to meet, mingle, collaborate and celebrate industry leaders at the iconic SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The events include networking at the council’s annual reception.
Attendees who walk the Lower South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center at the 2017 SEMA Show come November will be passing dozens of WTC-member companies. All employees of WTC-member companies are encouraged to connect with their fellow members and council leadership while at the Show. Nonmembers are also encouraged to learn more about WTC membership and the benefits that come with it.
Be sure to catch up with WTC select-committee members on the morning of Thursday, November 2, outside of the Global Tire Expo located in Lower South Hall to learn about the latest updates to council initiatives and resources that are available to member companies. The goal is to help businesses succeed in the wheel and tire industry. Select-committee members and SEMA staff will be on hand to discuss how individuals can become more involved in the industry through the WTC.
“The wheel and tire segment of the industry is heavily represented at the Global Tire Expo,” said Greg Parker, WTC chair. “There are literally thousands of industry employees and affiliates in attendance, and the WTC is already working on new and exciting opportunities for those groups to engage and network with each other. As of now, the best way to tap into this resource is by attending the WTC reception on Tuesday night at the Renaissance Hotel pool. There will be many segment leaders in attendance as well as SEMA Board members and hall of famers that you can meet and network with. We hope everyone who loves wheels and tires will make it the can’t-miss opportunity of their week.”
WTC Wheel Care Guide
WTC launched its newest member resource this year: the Wheel Care Guide. The guide serves as an internal staff training piece or a counter topper for customers. It covers and defines the most common wheel finishes and the proper type of care and cleaning solutions for each specific type. The WTC Wheel Care Guide is a free resource for members. Be sure to ask a WTC select-committee member or SEMA staff about getting your free copy at the WTC events at the SEMA Show, or download your free WTC Wheel Care Guide as well as the other WTC ride guides at www.sema.org/wtc-guides.
Join the WTC and hundreds of wheel and tire industry members for an evening of celebration and networking in a relaxed atmosphere by the Renaissance Hotel pool. Enjoy connecting with industry professionals and catching up with friends over food and beverages. Discuss all that is happening in the wheel and tire industry and exchange special moments and must-see attractions from the 2017 SEMA Show.
During a special awards presentation, a leading wheel and tire industry member will be inducted into the WTC Hall of Fame. The WTC Hall of Fame was founded to honor and recognize those outstanding individuals in the wheel and tire industry whose creativity, dignity, integrity, industriousness and accomplishments on a national basis have enhanced the status of the industry while significantly contributing to its growth, progress and professionalism. The 2017 inductee will join this notable group:
