Stay Engaged with YEN!

By: Jeremy Headlee

The primary goal of the Young Executives Network is to bring together young talent in the industry to share new ideas and concepts, talk about the latest trends in the automotive world, and make career-impacting connections through conversation. With networking events and mixers taking place alongside a variety of popular events throughout the year YEN provides in-person opportunities for members to do this. SEMA staff and network leadership understand that attending these events is not always possible for all members, and in an effort to promote more frequent communication and networking YEN has established an active presence across several of today’s most popular social media platforms. With an official Facebook page, a more informal Facebook discussion group, and an active Instagram page available staying engaged with fellow Yensters year-round is only a click, swipe, or tap away!

The YEN Facebook page is an excellent resource for information on the latest news and events pertaining to young professionals as well as SEMA programs geared toward youth and education. A schedule of events and links to other great SEMA information can also be found here. The official Facebook page is also home to the YEN Live Chat. This program invites a well-known industry icon onto a video chat style discussion to speak on a trending topic in the auto industry. Past Live Chat guests include Wes Buck, Peter MacGillivray, and Donut Media’s James Pumphrey. A more informal YEN group page is the home for “day to day” discussion of what new and interesting in the lives and careers of general members. Either of these pages are excellent places to start interacting with fellow YEN members, and frequent visits are encouraged!

In addition to Facebook and a traditional website, YEN can also be found on Instagram. With a focus on sharing timely and relevant visual content this has become the primary social media platform for many young adults entering the industry. Photos from events, member features, and more can be found by following the Young Executives Network on IG. With several ways to stay connected to other YEN members in-person and online, there’s no reason to miss out on meeting other motivated young professionals and making connections that can jump-start your career. Be sure to “follow” along on the social channels below and tag your own content with #SEMAYEN so we can see and share what you’re up to!
