Message from Chair Camee Edelbrock

Hello SBN Members!

Thank you for being an SBN member! It’s our second quarterly newsletter and I’m thrilled that I get this opportunity to address each and every one of you… our valued SBN members! I hope this email gives you a glimpse into who we are and what we’re doing as a SEMA network. If you have any questions, comments or ideas, please send me an email. I firmly believe that communication is key to being an effective and vibrant community!

As you know, the SBN was formed to provide networking, education and recognition opportunities for professional SEMA-member women to enhance their careers and positively impact the growth of the entire automotive aftermarket. Our efforts are continually focused and re-focused to achieve this mission. Today, I’m proud to announce two exciting new tools that will help us achieve these goals.

Now up and running, the SBN Instagram account will help us share news and updates about successful women in our industry and in the automotive world. We’re excited that we can now take advantage of this popular social media outlet, but we need your help. Send photos and text for posting on our page and follow us at SBN_SEMA. If you share any good news about a SEMA-member woman who is rocking their world and making things happen, please include #SheIsSEMA to help us spread the word.

The SBN Gear Up Girl private Facebook group is coming soon! Modeled after the successful Gear Up Girl events at the SEMA Show, this will be a safe haven for women in our industry to ask career-oriented questions of other women. Our select committee members, volunteers and seasoned professionals will be standing by to answer questions and mentor to the best of their ability. We’ll keep everyone posted on the status of the Gear Up Girl Facebook group, which should be available by the end of March or early April.

Here’s to your continued success!
