WTC Installs New Members to Select Committee

WTC LogoThe Wheel and Tire Council (WTC) installed two industry veterans onto the select committee on July 1. Both individuals bring a wealth of applicable knowledge and experience to their leadership positions. George Finch of The Carlstar Group has been in the wheel segment of the automotive aftermarket industry for 20 years and previously served on the WTC select committee, including as the council’s chairman. Scott Musser comes to the select committee with more than 27 years of wheel industry experience.

WTC General Membership Meeting

The Wheel and Tire Council is hosting a General Membership Meeting at the SEMA Show. All WTC members as well as companies who specialize in the manufacturing, distributing and selling of wheels and tires are encouraged to come. Learn about the latest council initiatives and resources that the WTC provides through membership. Mix and mingle with the select committee and SEMA staff and learn how you can become more involved in the industry.

The meeting will take place Monday, October 31, from 1:00pm-2:30pm, at the Renaissance: Paramount Room.

WTC Reception

The Wheel and Tire Council is hosting its annual industry reception at the 2016 SEMA Show. Enjoy an evening of networking with fellow wheel and tire industry professionals along with a bite to eat and drink. Mingle with the select committee and learn about opportunities to get more involved. The council will be holding an awards ceremony to honor influential wheel and tire professionals.

The reception will be held on Tuesday, November 1, from 5:00pm-7:00pm, at the Renaissance pool deck.

WTC Provides Technical Data

WTC LogoSEMA’s Wheel and Tire Council (WTC) held its annual general membership meeting at SEMA headquarters in Diamond Bar, California, in early February. Current and aspiring members, council leadership and SEMA staff met to discuss key council priorities in the coming year, including vehicle data, retailer benefits and industry outreach. Council members also discussed the need for acquiring reliable and detailed measurement data on new vehicles, and SEMA Garage staff discussed OEM measuring sessions, the Tech Transfer program and additional resources available through SEMA to supplement the current WTC Wheel Measurement Database.
